Punctuation "vandal" runs afoul of apostrophe police - "Language is worth standing up for," says British accountant

Or as the Telegraph refers to him "The Apostrophist" - with a nice photo too

What I want to know is, do they pronounce the St John part to rhyme with "Sinjin"?

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Apparently turned in by another retired military man, he had this to say about that:

Mr Gatward, who served with the Gordon Highlands in the 1960s, said of the other man, who served in Afghanistan: "I've been to three universities. I don't know it all but I still know a lot more than a mere corporal."

I googled: "Sinjin" is the Old English pronunciation of St. John according to wiki.

Then baby names reinforces that notion.

Some that statement about the universities and corporal seems something right out of Monty Python. - H2

I salute him for tilting at windmills. We need more idealists.
